December 3, 2012

(Akron, OH – December 3, 2012) Dave Granger announced his plan to retire as the President of GPD Group at the end of the company’s current fiscal year, effective December 31, 2012. The company has named Darrin Kotecki, the company’s current Executive Vice President, to succeed Granger.

Granger has been with GPD Group since 1973. During his tenure as President, Dave Granger oversaw the growth of a 40-person company to the 390+ professional services firm that GPD is today. His service to the company does not end here, however, as Dave has decided to work part-time assisting with strategic activities for the company.

Kotecki, who earned his master’s and bachelor’s degree from The University of Akron, has been with GPD Group for over 20 years and has held several positions of increasing responsibility. From managing and designing highway engineering projects to serving as vice president of architecture and site development and currently as executive vice president, Darrin understands what it takes to be an effective leader. He offers outstanding management skills and a history of significant accomplishments; one of those being his role in the implementation of the company’s retail department which has grown from a local to national presence since its inception. Darrin is an active, hands-on leader who is looking forward to his new role as president and to the continued success of this collaborative team of highly motivated individuals.

“GPD Group is an extraordinary blend of people who are passionate about their service to others,” said Dave Granger. “The GPD team is confident that Darrin will lead with a passion that allows the company to continue to flourish.”
