GPD Employees’ Foundation Hosts Non-Profit Fair

The GPD Employees’ Foundation hosted our second “Non-Profit Fair” at the Akron Civic Theatre last month. In celebration of our 10-year anniversary, we brought together 20 non-profit organizations from across Northeast Ohio for a “trade show” style event that gave them a chance to talk with GPD employees about their mission and programs. Our employees learned more about what they do, volunteer opportunities, board openings, and their overall impact in our communities.

Organizations that attended include:

  • Girls on the Run NE Ohio
  • First Tee Akron
  • Providence House
  • Art Sparks
  • Kid’s Book Bank
  • Summit County CASA
  • Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation
  • Smiles with Style
  • A Kid Again Northern Ohio
  • Camp Quality
  • Sawyer’s Wish
  • Stewarts Caring Place
  • Replay for Kids
  • Adaptive Sports Ohio
  • Blick Center
  • Autism Society of Akron
  • Connecting for Kids
  • Victory Gallop
  • Rec2Connect

Since 2014, our foundation has given more than $5 million to K-12 public schools and non-profits that work with children with special/medical needs or considered at-risk nationwide. We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to celebrate 10 years of positively impacting our communities with these wonderful organizations and with our employees.
