Bringing Fun to the Forefront: Stacie Swarner’s Impact at GPD

At GPD, it’s all about our people! Our team’s incredible talent and dedication fuel our success. We’re excited to highlight Stacie Swarner, our Social Events Coordinator, whose creativity helps bring our company culture to life.

What’s unique about your role at GPD?
GPD has been growing, but we’ve stayed true to our core beliefs and culture. That’s where I come in! My role was created to ensure our unique culture continues to thrive across all our offices. I get to plan and host fantastic social events where everyone at GPD can connect, relax, and have an unforgettable time together.

What’s your favorite part about your role?
Honestly, the best part is seeing the excitement and joy at our social events. It’s so rewarding to see the positive energy from employees and their families before and after an event. Those smiles and feedback really make all the hard work worth it.

What types of events do you plan?
From Pizza Fridays and Ice Cream socials to baseball games, giveaway days, zoo trips, pumpkin patches, and more, there is always a great event to participate in here at GPD.

Can you tell us a bit about your background? What led you to this career path?
My career path has been varied—I’ve worked in education training, leadership management, non-profits, business management, and program operations. These experiences helped shape my skills and prepared me for this role at GPD.

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career at GPD?
Jump into the action! GPD is full of unique and fun opportunities, especially when it comes to our social events and volunteer activities—you won’t find anything like it elsewhere. Get involved! You’ll meet awesome colleagues from across the company and grow your network. Plus, our GPD Employees’ Foundation offers fulfilling volunteer opportunities you don’t want to miss!

What are you most proud of in your career so far?
Hands down – our GalaPaDooza Celebration in downtown Cleveland at the House of Blues and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where employees from across the country gathered for an unforgettable weekend. I can’t wait for the next one!

Lastly, if you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I’m a big fan of tropical places. I’d love to be somewhere with lots of water, where I can hike, climb, kayak, and just enjoy the outdoors.
