GPD has proudly partnered with Akron Children’s Hospital for more than 20 years, and this holiday season, our employees continued that tradition of giving in a big way. In addition to purchasing holiday presents for more than 60 children, GPD employees brought warmth and joy to patients across the hospital by decorating and donating 73 Christmas trees for patient rooms.

Volunteers from our Akron, Cleveland, and Independence offices designed trees ranging from rough‑and‑tough monster truck themes to whimsical sugar plum fairies—each one crafted to brighten the hospital for children and families throughout the season. Before decorating, volunteers attended a short workshop to learn the do’s and don’ts of creating trees suitable for a medical setting and selected ornaments from prearranged Christmas Tree Kits.

This effort reflects GPD’s long-standing partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital and our belief that small gestures—whether it’s a gift, a decorated tree, or a moment of joy—can make a meaningful difference for families and remind them that their community is standing beside them.

“This was such a fun way to spread some holiday cheer to those who deserve it most. While no one wants to spend the holiday season in the hospital, I hope our trees put a smile on someone’s face. Our community is lucky to have Akron Children’s Hospital keeping our kids safe and healthy.”
