NextEra Fleet Charging Infrastructure

Public School Bus Fleet
GPD provided comprehensive engineering design services to five Florida school districts, designing 17 fleet sites totaling 182+ DCFC bus stalls. We closely coordinated with FPL and the school districts to provide construction drawings and project manuals that meet each school districts’ specific needs and requirements, including the design of emergency back-up power solution options in the event of a power outage to enable buses to charge and remain available.

U.S. Foods Truck Fleet
GPD provided engineering design solutions to implement a 30 stall DCFC EV charging infrastructure for a U.S. Foods distribution center in La Mirada, California. This solution supports U.S. Food’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We worked in close collaboration with NextEra, US Foods, Southern California Edison, and the City of La Mirada to design and deploy the most effective solution to meet all requirements. Beyond typical electrical, structural, and civil engineering associated with EV charging projects, our services included permit coordination, site layout optimization incorporating future expansion considerations, lighting and photometric design, and retaining wall design.
