GPD was part of a design-build team to provide a new headquarters for the AAA Akron Auto & Travel Club.

To address infrastructure, safety and congestion needs for the Akron Beltway System, the City of Akron and nearby Coventry Township partnered with GPD for a comprehensive traffic study. 

GPD has partnered with Akron Metro RTA on numerous projects for more than 16 years and recently helped complete the new Intermodal Transit Facility in Akron. 

GPD was selected by Akron Public Schools, City of Akron and Ohio Facility Construction Commission to lead an $800M architectural and engineering design effort to replace, renovate or decommission the district’s 58 buildings.

The City of Akron has partnered with GPD to help with the ongoing revitalization of its Main Street corridor. 

When a state highway project required the demolition of the City of Akron’s existing water distribution office, GPD was selected to study and design a new home for the city’s water distribution operations and new office building for the Water Department.

GPD assisted Alief ISD administrators and their real estate professionals in the search for an available property that was in good condition, conveniently located and able to accommodate the high volumes required for large meeting rooms. 

GPD has extensive experience with prototype schools, including one constructed 18 times, and worked with Alvin to plan a facility that could easily serve the needs of multiple communities.

Originally constructed in 1981, the renovation and expansion of Grace Ward Harby Junior High School enabled student capacity to increase from 800 to 1,000.

GPD was there when Amherst Exempted Village needed a strategy to combine elementary schools into one facility for collaborative learning.
