GPD Employees’ Foundation Hosts First-Ever “Non-Profit Fair”

The GPD Employees’ Foundation hosted our first-ever “Non-Profit Fair” this fall at The Akron Civic Theatre. Twenty non-profit organizations from across Northeast Ohio came together for a “career fair” style event that gave them a chance to talk with GPD employees about what they do in the community, board openings, volunteer opportunities, and their overall impact in our communities.

The goal of the event was to give our employees the opportunity to make connections with the local organizations that our foundation has worked with over the years. As an employee-run and funded foundation, it is important that employees understand the impact being made by these groups and have developed authentic connections with the organizations they support through the foundation.

Each organization received a $2,500 donation for their participation in the event.
