A Comprehensive Pavement Program for Home Depot

When The Home Depot needed a reliable partner to manage a national pavement replacement and maintenance program for dozens of stores and more than 72 distribution centers, they turned to GPD.

To start, GPD gathered information on all sites to develop a Pavement Condition Index (PCI). After modeling the entire portfolio, a plan was developed to optimize the investment balance between capital projects and preventive maintenance, focused on extending the life cycle of the pavement an optimal overall portfolio. GPD then established a process for all contractor and vendor qualifications, implementing standard procedures for vendors to ensure consistent work. Through the process, GPD built a site assessment database for all properties and provided guidance for a running five-year capital and preventive maintenance budget for site pavement.
