A Modernized Brand Experience at Outback Steakhouse Restaurants

Bloomin’ Brands initiated a remodel program for existing locations to create a refreshed restaurant design to resonate better with current customers and to attract new ones by incorporating new design elements into the prototype to drive consistency across remodels and new builds. Since 2015, GPD has been a reliable partner in this process, providing quality architecture, engineering, design and documentation for many remodels throughout the United States. 

GPD collaborated with the Outback marketing team to understand revised brand standards and customer insights, utilizing virtual reality as a design and decision-making tool to fully visualize materials, lighting, layout and finish options across varying store formats. The revised restaurant design has been well-received by customers and is attracting more diners. GPD was additionally able to reduce the design and development timelines through the use of illustrations. Design representations are more accurate, facilitating the remodel decision-making process and reducing change orders.
